Global UCF adds new Student Services Director to its team
We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the newest addition to our team, Darald Stubbs, as Global UCF’s Student Services Director.
Stubbs brings a wealth of experience in higher education to the Global UCF team, having had roles such as Director of Student Life and Director of the Recreational and Wellness Center at the University of South Carolina, and Director of Residential Life and Associate Dean of Students at Stetson University. He serves on several national higher education boards, such as the National Order of Omega and the Grand Council of Phi Sigma Kappa.
Born and raised in the Bahamas, he understands fully what it’s like to live the academic journey of an international student in the United States. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Management at Stetson University and his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of South Carolina.
Adding to his impressive professional experience is an outgoing, fun personality too. He loves to travel, cook, go the beach, and go boating. On Saturdays he’s an avid college football fan!
When asked about his role as Student Services Director, he said he’s excited about the journey and the opportunity to create and develop our own Signature Student Experience at UCF.
“What I value the most about student life is the co-curriculum experience. What we do and the services we provide enhance the academic journey of each individual student. They are here to get a good education and what we do contributes to that directly. I value education from a holistic approach for the student. Student involvement has to be with a purpose – whether it is to enhance students’ success or to provide the resources they need to get them there.”
