The Career Accelerator: Preparation for the Global Workplace

Through the Career Accelerator, you will develop your professional skills and gain a strong understanding of how your knowledge, interests, motivations and personal experiences give you an immediate advantage when it comes to launching your career.

The Career Accelerator will give you the skills and knowledge to excel professionally, whether you are searching for your career path, exploring postgraduate degree programs, preparing to lead your family’s business or planning to start your own company.

Designed exclusively for international undergraduate students, the Career Accelerator features unique workshops, real-world experiences, cross-cultural group work and skills-based training. Once you have progressed beyond the Global UCF programs, you will continue to work with your advisor on your individual career plan.

Employers want confident team members who are job ready and the Career Accelerator offers five different tracks to develop students accordingly.

To participate in the Career Accelerator students must:
• Maintain 90% attendance in all Career Accelerator activities and workshops
• Complete all major milestone projects
• Remain in good academic standing

Global Professional Certificate

The Global Professional Certificate is awarded to students that complete the Career Accelerator Program workshop sequence, individual assignments, and group work. This career-readiness certification is designed as a targeted pathway to professional development, which is transferable to all career fields and professions.

Biography

Chrissy Cruz is the Career Accelerator Program Manager at Global UCF. She has seven years of educational management, student development, and career expertise. Chrissy earned three degrees from the University of Florida and specializes in career consulting, student development, and university teaching. Chrissy manages all operations of the Career Accelerator Program and prepares international students to excel professionally. Chrissy establishes new employment opportunities via partnerships with employers on local and international levels. She conducts career strategy sessions and executive workshops tailored to international students in the areas of career development, advanced degree preparation, business development, and entrepreneurship, ensuring student preparedness for internships and employment opportunities upon graduation.
